who are Script East midlands?

A community of writers based across the East Midlands

Since launching in 2024, ScriptEM has supported hundreds of creative people.

Founded by award-winning scriptwriter Hugh Dichmont: a highly experienced educator who runs the majority of our activities, across workshops, mentoring and Write Club.

With regular opportunities to learn, share and connect, we are people who love to write: professional playwrights, beginners starting their first short script… and everyone in between.
